Without being as bold as Dalí, who said it was the most beautiful village in the world, we will say that Cadaqués is one of the most charming villages in Catalonia. 


CADAQUÉS

Port Lligat is a charming fishing village ten minutes walk from Cadaqués.  Lligat bay is framed by a beautiful landscape, with crystal clear waters and quiet beaches.


La Casa-Museo de Salvador Dalí is a small fisherman's house in Port Lligat, where Salvador Dalí lived regularly from 1930 until the death of his wife Gala in 1982.

El Port de la Selva is a lovely seaside village. Smaller than Cadaqués, el Port has a sandy beach, a water sports school, a series of small beaches.


From the 11th to the 14th century San Pere de Rodes sat at the spiritual heart of the Empo, its splendor and importance is shown in the size of the monastery.

Roses has beautiful sandy beaches, a charming promenade and a vibrant culinary scene.


Located in Cala Montjoi, elBulli1846 is a new museum celebrating the legacy of the elBulli restaurant. Until its closure in 2011, elBulli was recognized as the most innovative restaurant in the world.

Biking in the Park



Hiking trails



The park has countless routes for hiking.  One of the most celebrated is "El camí de les Dones". This trail takes you from Cadaques to Roses, with a stop at Mas dels Arbres in the middle... Used by the women of Cadaques to go to the Roses market to sell their fresh fish and oil.
Figueres is best known for the Dalí Theater-Museum. Built by Dalí after Gala's death in 1982, the theater exhibits an extensive collection of his artwork and is an immersive experience into his world.

FIGUERES

The historic city of Girona is best known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and Jewish quarter. Highlights include its excellent cathedral, the historic "Arab baths", the Devesa Park and the colorful houses along the Onyar River.

GIRONA

The medieval Castell de Peralada is the setting for an excellent festival of music, dance and opera held every year in July and August. Set in the gardens of the castle, the Festival is considered one of the main artistic events of the Catalan summer.
